Hammond Lumber proudly participated in two tree festivals this year to bring holiday cheer and raise funds for local charities and youth projects. Hammond employees greatly enjoyed being part of these communities for these events, by bringing joy to families and youth assisted by local non-profits and rotary organization.
Sukeforth Family Festival of Trees, Waterville, Maine
As a collective effort, Hammond Lumber and other local surrounding businesses donated fully decorated artificial Christmas trees for the raffle event and all proceeds went on to benefit four great non-profits; Spectrum Generation’s Meals on Wheels, Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area & The Children’s Home for Little Wanderers. The trees were displayed from November 17th throughout 26th, allowing eager families the opportunity to purchase and place raffle tickets by the tree of their choosing. Check out the photos from our “Paint 3 Rooms” Gift Package, below. The winner of the tree will enjoy a paint consultation session and a $500 gift card!
Rotary’s Farmington Festival of Trees with the Farmington Rotary Club
As part of the Chester Greenwood Day event festivities, the Farmington Rotary Club sponsors a Festival of Trees live auction. The Festival of Trees is a fundraiser by the Farmington Rotary Club where area businesses & organizations decorate live Christmas Trees that are later auctioned off that same night, with all proceeds going to fund local youth projects. On December 2nd starting at 10 a.m., families had the day to view the trees before the auction began.
Hammond Lumber employees from most of our 13 stores donated fun items for a “Family Fun Night” themed tree, in hopes that family members would enjoy them together during the snowy season. The fantastic employee donations included; games & puzzles, DVD’s, candy & snacks, hot chocolate mix, handmade items, etc. Hammond Lumber also included “Family Night Out” items that includes a tour of its Belgrade Saw & Planer Mill, $25 restaurant gift card, and 10 movie passes for Narrow Gauge Cinema!
We are very happy to announce that our Hammond Lumber tree was auctioned off at the highest bid price of the night at $1,500!
