Continuous Training
To support this aggressive safety program, Hammond Lumber Company provides extensive safety training and re-training for all of its employees. In April 1991, Hammond Lumber Company finalized its own, company-specific Health and Safety Manual. Â Since then, the Safety Manual has been presented to and reviewed with all new employees on their first day of hire.
In addition, Hammond Lumber Company participates in the Maine Department of Transportation Drug Screening program and has a comprehensive Back-to-Work program.
